Awesome app with some unfortunate technical problems

This is a great addition to the growing library of visual and aural synths. If this were a stable app that didn't punish you when you experimented then I would easily give it 5 stars.

Very cool

I really like this app - the concept is interesting and you can generate some pretty nifty sounds. Particularly nice is the fact that you can save stuff: If you create something you like you can save it to one of several 'slots' and then continue to experiment without losing the original idea. I look forward to new features. Well worth a couple of bucks if you're a fan of Eno's Bloom or ambient music in general.

Awesome music toy along the lines of Electroplankton

It feels good, looks good, and most importantly sounds good.. I just played with it for the past hour or more, and it gave me similar feelings to those I had playing Electroplankton for the Nintendo DS... You simply start messing around and before you know it you're lost in a world of kaleidoscoping notes, rippling off of each other, swelling and swimming in your head... Great stuff. And thankfully there is the option to save your creations, unlike the aforementioned sound toy.

With the update to 2.0, synthPond improved upon all the issues I had with 1.0... A much more accessible user interface, smaller file size, tweaked notes, and expanded options (love the orbit and ability to tweak pitch) there's nothing to stop you from picking this great little app up.

The only further improvement I can think of is that the App's icon doesn't stand out as well as others on my iPod. It needs to be simplified - perhaps to just images of the note shapes... at least lose the standard button "shine," because it seems to take away from a more detailed icon such as synthPond's current one.
Good stuff. You hit all the right notes with this update, Zach, well done!
